Patients consistently praise Dr. Barnard for his attentiveness, thoroughness, and genuine care for his patients. The most frequently highlighted strength is his willingness to listen carefully and take time with each patient, with many reviewers specifically noting that he never makes them feel rushed. His ability to answer questions clearly and thoroughly is another standout quality, with patients appreciating that he explains medical information in understandable terms and always invites questions before concluding visits. Reviewers also frequently commend his warm, personable bedside manner, describing him as compassionate, friendly, and easy to talk to. His office staff also receives positive mentions for being friendly and professional.

Opportunities for improvement noted in the reviews are minimal. One reviewer felt that Dr. Barnard could be more direct and blunt when delivering health warnings, particularly around serious conditions like diabetes management, suggesting that stronger, more pointed language might better motivate patients to take action. One reviewer felt he could ask more thorough questions during visits. One reviewer mentioned a perceived personality clash, though they acknowledged his clinical competence. One reviewer noted that he checked their concerns but did not offer much explanation or a clear solution. These represent isolated experiences rather than recurring themes.
